Who you’re agreeing with

These terms are between you and Smith & Williams Holdings LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. “Axiom Ops” is a brand name it uses. (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them.

Who can use Within

You must be 18 or older, and you need an account to use the journal.

What Within is, and isn’t

Within is a private journal with optional reflection, connections, life-exploration tools and a support-circle list. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, crisis counselling or an emergency service. It doesn’t monitor entries and can’t send help. It doesn’t guarantee any career, education or life outcome. Nothing in Within is a substitute for a doctor, therapist or other professional. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, call 911 or call or text 988 (US).

AI features

AI reflections are optional, they’re generated by software, and they can be wrong, incomplete or a poor fit for you. Don’t rely on them for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. Possibilities in Compass are general ideas, not current facts. Check anything specific before relying on it. You can report a reflection from inside the app.

Your content

You own what you write. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you: saving it, showing it to you, exporting it, and, when you ask, sending selected text to an AI provider. We don’t use it for advertising or to train AI models.

Acceptable use

• Don’t try to get into other people’s accounts or data, or interfere with the service.
• Don’t use Within to plan harm to others.
• Don’t use automated means to extract outputs or overload the service.

Availability

Early release on the web. There is no App Store or Google Play app yet. The service may change, pause, or have outages. Features described as unavailable aren’t offered. Within is currently free; if paid plans are ever introduced, you’ll be told before any charge.

Support contact: axiomopslabs@gmail.com. Support covers the app; it isn’t crisis support.

Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings or the public deletion page. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we do, we’ll give you a way to export your data where we lawfully can.

Keep your own copy

Within is not a backup service. Use Settings → Export to keep your own copy of anything that matters to you. We aren’t responsible for content lost through an outage, a bug, or deletion you requested.

No warranties

Within is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we don’t promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its safety features will detect every risk.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Within. Our total liability for any claim relating to Within is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Disputes

If you have a problem, email axiomopslabs@gmail.com first and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn’t resolved informally goes to the state or federal courts located in Collin County, Texas, except that either of us may use a small-claims court where you live. If you live somewhere whose law gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts, that right isn’t affected.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before the change applies to you. If you don’t agree, you can export your data and delete your account.
