Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Within is operated by Smith & Williams Holdings LLC, an Arizona limited liability company. “Axiom Ops” is a brand name it uses. What you write in a journal can include information about your physical or mental health. Some state laws call this “consumer health data”. This page explains how we handle it.

What consumer health data we collect

• Anything about your health that you choose to write in entries, titles, tags or feeling labels, Compass items and experiments.
• Optional AI reflections you ask for, which may describe what you wrote. AI is switched off in this release.
• We don’t collect precise location, biometric data, data from devices or wearables, or health data from any other source.

Where it comes from

Only from you, when you type or save it.

Why we collect and use it

Only to provide the journal you asked for: to save it, show it to you, let you search, export and delete it, and, if you turn AI on and ask, to send the entry you pick for a reflection. Our safety check runs in your browser and nothing about it is stored or sent. We don’t use your health data for advertising, profiling, research or training AI models.

Who we share it with

• Google Firebase, which stores your account and journal for us.
• Vercel, which runs our website and server.
• Anthropic, only if AI is enabled and you ask for a reflection on a specific entry.

These companies process data only on our behalf. We don’t share it with anyone else except where the law requires, and we never sell consumer health data. We don’t use geofencing.

Your rights

• See and copy it: Settings → Export gives you everything we hold about your journal. You can also email us for a list of the companies we’ve shared it with.
• Delete it: delete any entry, or your whole account, in Settings or on the deletion page. Account deletion removes your data from our database right away.
• Withdraw consent: turn AI off in Settings → Privacy at any time, or delete your account.
• Ask or appeal: email axiomopslabs@gmail.com. We respond within 45 days. If we turn a request down, you can appeal by replying to our answer, and we’ll respond to the appeal within 45 days. If you’re in Washington and still disagree, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General.

We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
